TRP has always been an integral factor in the run of the show. While many actors take the pressure of TRPs, some only focus on performing their best dwelling much on it. Actor Zohaib Siddiqui, who has garnered a loyal fanbase with his acting skills and charming looks in the Star Plus show, Imlie recently opened up on his viewpoint about the TRP game. When asked whether he works under the pressure of TRP and ratings, the actor says, “Honestly, I’m not too much into all of this. I do believe that focusing on aspects that are beyond my control will only hamper my performance. All I can do is to focus on my craft and give my 100% in every scene. Everyday, I aim to be more productive so that I don’t have to worry about how things turn out. I don’t stress over things which aren’t in my control. I prioritise polishing my craft rather than being driven by the pressure of TRP.”
“Being an actor, my responsibility is to do my acting job with the utmost honesty and dedication and leave the rest to the audience. So, personally, I don’t work under the pressure of TRP, but I acknowledge and understand the fact that it’s a major factor nowadays for a show to run,” the actor quipped further.
On performance to his role
Sharing the kind of response he is receiving for his performance in the show, the actor says, “Though I joined the show half way, the audience has accepted me whole-heartedly. I like how they shower love on me by dedicating social media posts to me and praising my acting chops. I am grateful and thankful to everyone for their immense support because that kind of motivates me a lot.”
Professionally, Zohaib is known for his performance in the shows Sadda Haq and Sapne Suhane Ladakpan Ke. He has also acted in shows like Suryaputra Karan, Karmaphal Daata Shani, Radha Krishna and many more.
