Golden Retriever Finds Clever Way To Get Into Pool and It’s Impressive – Yahoo Life

If you’ve ever had the chance to get to know a Golden Retriever, you’d know that although they may look a little goofy, they’re actually quite intelligent dogs.

Meet Oatmeal, the Los Angeles-based Golden Retriever who loves to hang out in the pool with his owner, Adria, and even found a way to gracefully enter the pool, as shown in the video posted on August 20. Let’s see for ourselves!

This is too cute!

Look how gracefully he climbs up the steps of the ladder that leads into the pool with his rubber boots to ensure no slipping!

Golden Retrievers are known for their intelligence and problem-solving abilities, and it’s not uncommon for them to find creative ways to access places they’re interested in, like pools.

As his mom mentions in the video, “One day he just figured out how to climb the ladder.”

It probably all started with Oatmeal’s favorite ball being in the pool, as Golden Retrievers have a knack for problem-solving. They can figure out how to access dog treats or toys that are hidden or placed in challenging locations. This ability to problem-solve makes them entertaining and sometimes mischievous companions.

“He then jumped into his ‘Oat-Boat’,” Adria continues, “and hopped into the pool from there.”

While they are intelligent and hardworking, Golden Retrievers also have a playful and fun-loving side. They enjoy games and activities that challenge their minds and bodies, such as fetching, puzzle toys, and agility training.

As you may know, Golden Retrievers are natural-born swimmers and often enjoy spending time in the water.

Clearly, Oatmeal loves his pool time.
