Deion Sanders’ girlfriend Tracey Edmonds has been fulfilling her role as a supportive partner, sticking by Coach Prime’s side after surgery.
The Pro Football Hall of Famer had successful emergency surgery for blood clots in his left leg on Friday.
‘I’m not leaving this spot until it’s time for #CoachPrime @deionsanders to walk up out of here which we hope will be very soon! Sending everyone LOVE,’ Edmonds wrote on an Instagram post Sunday.
In a separate post Saturday, Edmonds wrote: ‘We are so grateful for the healing power of God and for all of our prayer warriors.
‘It was a long, but successful day! #CoachPrime @deionsanders is resting and doing great tonight after his surgery! Thank you Lord! Thank you Fam! We love you.’

Sanders told his family that he had successful surgery on Friday for a blood clot in his left thigh and another in the same leg below his knee in a video posted on Instagram on Saturday.
He said he also has a blood clot in the right leg that doctors were ‘going to get soon.’
The 55-year-old Sanders explained in the video on YouTube pre-surgery that his doctor found a blood clot in both legs, including one in his left thigh.
Prime Time has struggled with his left foot since having two toes amputated in 2021 due to blood clot issues while at Jackson State.
Sanders said that two of his three remaining toes on that foot are what he referred to as ‘hammer toes,’ a condition where there’s an atypical bend in the middle joint.
He explained the procedure on Friday was to ‘try to get those clots so I can have proper blood flow to the leg so they can fix the toes. That´s what´s going on.’
Sanders had previously revealed he might lose his left foot as a result of circulation issues. Sanders allowed camera crews with ‘Thee Pregame Show’ to film a meeting with his medical team at the University of Colorado, where he´s preparing for his first season as head football coach.

Sanders has undergone multiple foot surgeries and had two toes on his left foot amputated
Sanders was supported by Edmonds while he was the head coach of HBCU Jackson State
But on Thursday, Sanders said: ‘There is no talk of amputation. There’s no talk of any of that whatsoever.’
Edmonds, a former Hollywood producer, reportedly met Sanders at a movie premiere party. The pair have been dating for 12 years per People.
The interest in Colorado football has soared since Sanders was hired last December to turn around the Buffaloes following a 1-11 season in 2022. Colorado sold out of its season-ticket allotment, marking the first time that’s happened since 1996.
Sanders previously coached Jackson State, where the legendary NFL cornerback helped raise the profile of one of the country’s Historically Black Colleges and Universities.
