Google Summer of Code Improves Gentoo Linux System Updater
Thanks to this year’s Google Summer of Code (GSoC), we have seen significant improvements for Gentoo Linux users. GSoC participant Stepan Kulikov “LabBrat” has developed a new automated updater called gentoo_update that simplifies the process of maintaining an up-to-date Gentoo system. This means less time spent on system administration and a better user experience. Check out the final GSoC report for more details.

Upgrade Your Gentoo Linux System with gentoo_update
Keep your Gentoo system up-to-date with the help of gentoo_update. This automated updater, developed during Google Summer of Code, can not only deploy security updates, but also keep all system packages updated. Watch this video to see it in action and visit the Gentoo blog for more information on this summer project.
