Superboys of Malegaon is a film based on the life of Nasir Shaikh, an amateur filmmaker from the town of Malegaon. The town’s residents seek out Bollywood cinema to escape their daily worries. Nasir is inspired by the people of Malegaon to make a film about the people of Malegaon. He brings together his band of rowdy friends to realize his vision and revitalize the town. The film is a poignant yet inspiring look at filmmaking and friendship – and what happens when these two worlds collide.
