Here’s a polished, edited version of your update: I just watched all five episodes. I wasn’t really into it by the second episode, but decided to see it through. Cohen’s adaptations seem to follow a pattern of largely unrelated or overly complicated narrative threads that all come together neatly in the final episode. While the previous ones were pretty good, this one felt really weak in comparison. The acting was okay and the characters weren’t terrible, but the story wasn’t compelling or engaging. It felt more like a matter of just getting to the end. I wouldn’t say don’t watch it, but if you have other options lined up, I’d definitely put them before this one.
