A local activist and a young up-and-coming mayor clash over the best solution for their poor suburb
The original French title of the project was supposed to be “Les Indésirables”; before it was changed.. In this second film from the director of LES MISERABLES made in 2019, we still have Alexis Manenti and Steve Chincheu, but not in the same roles.
This is simply an indictment of real facts, a real tragedy
From a policeman, Manenti becomes mayor and Chienchew from a local king also to an important member of the town hall… This is not a drama about social crime, just a social drama, just remove the criminal element.
Not everyone will agree with the message of this film
The government’s strategy on migrants is at the heart of this story. If you want to escape from your problems, if you want to dream, hope for the future, this film is not for you.
