Ford Launches Ford Energy: A Subsidiary Focused on Battery Storage Systems
Ford has launched Ford Energy, a wholly owned subsidiary dedicated to manufacturing large-scale battery energy storage systems for utilities, data centers, and industrial customers. The company has invested approximately $2 billion in this operation, which repurposes a Kentucky plant originally built for electric vehicle batteries. The subsidiary is headed by Lisa Drake, who reports directly to Ford.
