2025-2026 Toyota HiLux Recalled Due to Bullbar Fault
The fault lies with an incorrectly installed light bar on genuine-accessory bullbars, which could result in a loss of power steering assistance, according to the recall notice.

Toyota Australia has issued a recall for 13,390 examples of the latest-generation 2025-2026 HiLux ute due to a potential issue with the electric power steering module.
Recall Notice:
"Affected HiLux vehicles have been fitted with a Toyota Genuine Accessory bull bar or nudge bar with light bar, where the wiring harness may have been incorrectly installed. This can compromise the earth connection to the Electric Power Steering (EPS) module, potentially rendering the EPS inoperative. The loss of power steering assistance will increase steering effort at low speeds, heightening the risk of accidents and causing potential injury or death to vehicle occupants and/or other road users."
